Misa lives apart from her parents.
Apart from him, there’s no one who can do it.
live away from home for / 単身赴任する
A is one thing, but (and) B is another で「AとBは全く違う」を表します。
get along with 「〜とうまく付き合う、うまくやっていく」Are you getting along with your boss?
get around to「〜する時間を見つける」 I was thinking calling you, but I never got around to it.
get away with「 〜をうまく逃れる」 Do you think you can get away with it?
get down to「〜に取り掛かる」 Okay let’s get down to business.
なお後半は「形式主語 it + to 不定詞」構文 but it can be difficult to get along with him (her) の省略形
it happens that S V 「たまたまSはVする」it + seems / appears / looks + that + S + V で使われる it は形式主語ですが、特に指すものが無い it です。
It’s unfortunate that Ann isn’t here. That Ann isn’t here is unfortunate. It seems that he is sleepy. は That he is sleepy seems. He seems to be sleepy. となります。
[15] ④ long, clear
as long as S V 「S が V する限り(時間・条件を限定 = only if)」
as far S V 「S が V する限り(範囲・程度を限定 = to the extent that)」As far as I knoe, she is a doctor.

give O a second thought 「O を考え直す ( = reconsider)」
I was hiking with my dog on a mountain when something unexpected happened and I lost sight of him.
「something / anything」は「some/any + thing」から成り立っており、この「some / any」は「the / a /an / my / your 」などと同じ「限定詞」です。
some と thing に分けた上で、some good thing や any good thing というように、some/any より後ろの位置に形容詞を割り込ませることはできます。
歌のタイトルで「You Must Have Been a Beautiful Something, What Are You Really?
if the mountain could offer me some sence of relief.
The company offered him a nice job. ⇒ The company offered a nice job to him.
sence of relief = 安堵感
sense of ease = 安心感 (sence of relief から8行下)
my journey with this mysterious pull growing stronger.
the pull of the moon / 月の引力 the pull of golf / ゴルフの魅力
I realized I was somehow in an unfamiliar place.
Somehow I don’t like him.
I will go there somehow. /
This book is somewhat difficult for me.
From out of nowhere, an elderly man came running towards me
no・where / nóʊ(h)wèɚ は、「どこにも….. We went nowhere last weekend. We did not go anywhere last weekend.
My passport was nowhere to be found.
He came from nowhere. /
In Japan, vending machines are everywhere even in the middle of nowhere. /
We went nowhere last weekend. ⇒ We went to no place last weekend.
He’s a real nowhere Man / アイツは本当に居場所のないヤツさ
Sitting in his Nowhere Land, /
Making all his nowhere plans For nobody /
I told him that he was a German shepherd.
him = an elderly man, he = her dog
he served briefly as a police dog but had to stop due to an injury.
brief・ly / bríːfli / adv しばらく、簡単に. to put it briefly 簡単に言えば.
Over 50 trains were delayed due to the snow. / 50
The trains have stopped because of the typhoon, so I can’t go home. /
Thanks to your advice, I got over the hardship. /
Before we knew it we reached a large open area and took a break.
before I knew it
Before I knew it, I fell asleep. /
Before I knew it, I had come to like you.
「come to 動詞の原型」で「…
I learn to play the saxophone well.
I stopped complaining about life.
She came here all the way just to say hello. /
We came to this very spot and saw a bear.
That’s the very thing I was looking for.
sensing danger, he chased after the bear.

I figured out where you live.
